Swarovski Crystallized is having a free event at their store on 24 Great Marlborough Street, London on the 6th and 7th May at 5.30 - 9pm.  Guests will be pampered with champagne, canapés and will receive a free gift worth £10! 

The event will include a talk from the women’s magazine Glamour on the trends to watch out for this spring/summer, while experts from Swarovski Crystallized will show you how to use crystals so you can update your spring/summer essentials - bikini, beach bag, sunglasses and flip-flops!

If you are planning on visiting London, a great way to see all the main tourist attractions cheaply is to buy the London Pass.  It is a sightseeing card which gives holders free entry to 55 different sights and tourist attractions in London including The Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Royal Albert Hall, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Windsor Castle, National Portrait Gallery, London Zoo, The London Aquarium and Shakespeare’s Globe - to name but a few.  You can even hop on a boat and go on a relaxing river cruise!

If you’re feeling a bit broke then why not get up close and personal with the stars and see a television show as part of the audience.  It is completely free and you will get to see what really goes on behind the scenes as well.  Tickets can be booked at Applause Store and you can reserve as many as you want but it is first come first served so make sure you book your tickets early.  Applause Store always have a good line up of shows such as ”The Brit Awards”, “Big Brother”, “X-Factor” and many more and you sometimes even get free nibbles before the show!  I went to see “Fight Box” a couple of years ago which was a game show on BBC2 presented by Trevor Nielson and I managed to get his autograph (not that I’m a fan but thought it may come in useful for selling on ebay one day ) Applause Store is currently only for UK residents (mostly in London studios) but I believe they will be launching a US site soon.

If you are planning a trip to London or just a day out in the city and you are travelling here by train, DaysOutGuide have printable vouchers on their website that allow you 2 for 1 entry into hundreds of major attractions including Madame Tussauds, Dali Universe, Vinopolis, Cruises on the Thames as well as for restaurants, hotels and hit West End shows such as Blood Brothers, Chicago, Footloose and We Will Rock You (my personal favourite!).  Once you have printed out the voucher, you just need to hand it into the atttraction’s box office and show your train ticket to get the discount!  Even if you live in London and normally take the tube, you can always just purchase a cheap train ticket from one of the railway stations in London (eg. a train ticket from Ealing Broadway to Paddington on the First Great Western trains is £2.60) so even if you don’t use the ticket, it is a minimal amount spent which could save you a lot of money on entrance to an attraction.  Currently it costs £22.50 for an adult entry to Madame Tussauds so purchasing a £2.60 train ticket would save you nearly £20!  And you could save even more if you are using vouchers for theatre and hotels!
