My Old Dutch Pancake Restaurant Kensington London

If you’re craving pancakes then a pancake at one of the branches of My Old Dutch restaurant in London will definitely fulfill your appetite. My Old Dutch serves gigantic Dutch pancakes both savoury and sweet as well as salads and Dutch starters and desserts. They have a wide selection of different types of pancakes to choose from or you can make your own from a choice of different toppings. I usually get a savoury pancake with bacon, cheese and pineapple with a sweet pancake for dessert if I can manage to fit one in! My Old Dutch’s Poffertjes (mini fluffy pancakes) are great to have at tea time served with sugar and butter and My Old Dutch also now serves breakfast pancakes daily before 1pm.

Mildreds Vegetarian Restaurant Soho London

I’m not a big meat eater and enjoy going to vegetarian restaurants which is quite often since quite a few of my friends are vegetarian. Mildreds is a vegetarian restaurant in Soho that I tried recently, located on Lexington Street in Soho. They have a small but nice selection of internationally inspired vegetarian starters, mains, sides and puddings as well as organic smoothies, juices and teas. The restaurant is a little cramped but the atmosphere is lively and informal and the food is good value for money.

For dinner I ordered a burger with relish, red onion, rocket and tomato accompanied with sweet potato fries and a carrot juice to wash it all down with. The friend that I dined with got the burrito filled with black turtle beans, corn and red pepper topped with tomato lime salsa, guacamole, smoked cheddar and sour cream, which was equally gratifying.

Busaba Eathai Thai Restaurant

A great place to grab some mouthwateringly delicious and authentic Thai food is in one of the many branches of Busaba Eathai restaurant. Busaba Eathai is the brainchild of Alan Yau, owner of several prestigious restaurants in London including the Michelin starred Hakkasan and Yauatcha. It started off as a single restaurant in Soho with long queues stretching outside but there are now several branches around London.

Busaba Eathai serves Thai salads, noodles, curries and stir-fries with vibrant flavours that will leave you craving for more as well as an extensive selection of Asian inspired juices and smoothies to complement your meal. My personal recommendations would be the Green Chicken Curry and Sen Chan Pad Thai which is rice noodles fried with prawn, peanut, egg, green mango and crabmeat. Absolutely yummy!

Busaba Eathai is a casual dining venue where you have to share tables but prices are cheap and the food is served up within minutes so it is a great place to grab a quick meal with minimum fuss. For more information you can visit the Busaba Eathai website.
