Nice blog.. I was thinking of doing something similar as a fellow Londoner but I ended up with a blog about making money (or trying to make money).
while searching for some inspiration for a London visit I found your blog very helpful. May I ask you for a suggestion based on your experience? Here I go: we (couple+2 kids of 5 and 2) will be in London from dec 24th to 28th. On 25 &26 everything is closed and except for the Hyde Park village we need a good suggestion in case of rain (or kids boredom), can you help us out? Thanks and keep up the useful posting!

Today, for the first time in four hundred years, a game of “Paille Maille” was played in the area that eventually led to the naming of the world famous Mall and Pall Mall in central London.
Taking place in the shadow of Buckingham Palace on The Mall, North Horse Ride, the recreation event was open to Londoners and visitors who had the chance to play the historic game, enjoyed centuries ago by King Charles II when central London was still green fields.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson commented, “This is a rare opportunity for Londoners to take to the streets and have a go at a quintessentially English game of ‘Paille Maille’, an earlier version of the game fondly known as croquet. Discovering the delights of croquet and reveling in the history of our great city is a past time I wholeheartedly encourage.”

All the best,
This is a very nice blog. I congratulate with you
I enjoyed your blog about making ice kacang. Ironically, I currently live in KL, Malaysia, and have been looking for an ice shaving machine that is similar to your pic, but I can’t seem to find one. Could you tell me where your friend bought your machine, and how much did it cost? I would love to get one of my own. thx in advance.
