Generate Backlinks To Your Blog By Submitting Online Articles

Posted on August 21st, 2007 in Drive Traffic To Your Blog,Search Engine Optimization by Stephanie

A great way to generate backlinks to your blog is by submitting online articles.  Ezines Articles is a popular article submission website which serves millions of unique visitors monthly and allows you to add a link to your blog/website underneath your article which therefore gives it increased exposure and credibility.  If you write an article that is related to your blog’s main subject area and submit it, if your article is good then publishers looking for new material for their ezines, newsletters, etc. will publish it on their websites and will give you a link back to your website in exchange.  Helpful, well-written articles are snapped up daily by thousands of publishers from around the world in virtually all industries so you could potentially generate a lot of links from a single article which should help your search engine optimization.  Also readers of your article will see you as a credible source since you have been published and if they like what you have written, then chances are they will click on the link to your blog so this will also increase traffic to it!

This is actually one of my favorite ways to build links from relevant websites. Unfortunately most websites that use articles from these databases are not that great but on occasion you can get a link from a PR3 or PR4 website.

I do my best to submit at least 1 article per week (on average) for every websites that I own.

Execellent idea. I can imagine that a particularly well-written article in the proper niche could really pay dividends. Thanks for the suggestion.

A good way to submit article and get more backlink, but this really time consuming. We need to prepare an article at least need one hour to complete it. Not really worth to do so. Just my opinion. :)

An oldie but a goodie. No doubt still one of the best way to get keyword targeted links to your site. My recommendation is to make sure you automate this process as it is quite time consuming. I submit new articles for domains every other day. All I do is write it and place it in a software that is fully automated and sends it to 200 specific Article directory I have chosen because of PR and letting the author add links inside the post instead of the Author signature.

Best of luck

Vic

I agree that articles can be really powerful, you just need to think a little laterally and go about it systematically.

If you’re going to try article marketing, I suggest you need to keep at it as just doing the odd one or two, especially for competitive keywords will not really do anything.

This means either putting in a lot of time, or paying to get the whole thing created and automated for you.

Vic, can you tell us which software you are using?
This concept has been around for years, but I am finally realizing that I will have to make the time to write good articles, but if the software you mentioned is good, it will be worth the trouble whether it is for your blog or website.
Thanks

I think that we do not have to focus just on articles submissions and try to build our campaigns on exchanging links with other sites as well.

Send article to article directory really can increase link so much but many people doing it wrong way. For example I seen that some people don’t use SEO copywriting when writing article. Some people do too much SEO in one article.

Article submission is surely a very good way to generate quality traffic to a site, but the article should be original, and interesting to read.

Article submission is indeed a great way to generate back links to a website but it is quite time consuming. If the article is genuine and informative, it also helps to grab massive traffic to the site.

You have to be careful when using seo companies to do articles on your behalf. A lot of companies just submit the same article over and over, giving you lots of duplicated content which is not good. It always best to submit them yourself and change it around when submitting the same article elsewhere

Article marketing has been a great way to get links for the last few years, but the problem these days is that many article directories are full of low quality junk. While Ezine Articles is one of the ones that has managed to retain high standards, that isn’t the case for all. And since Google has announced its intention to fight low quality content then those article directories with poor content will suffer.

However, that should be of benefit to anyone providing good information as the lazy markets will simply more to using another technique.

I can attest to the fact that ezines work well to gain exposure online. Well written content can spread like wildfire and even achieve top rankings on the search engines

Online article submission on ezinearticles is getting harder. The reason is because ezinearticles has implemented a lot of measures which has made acceptance of articles there very stressful. I would love to see alternatives to ezinearticles very soon.

Writing articles can be very profitable in terms of SEO, but how can authors protect their work from article spinning, which is so common today?

Hi, unfortunately Ezine has recently changed their article word count requirement which makes it longer and harder to write an article with them, even if spun….I just stick to other directories now.

2011-09-21 04:28:41

EzineArticles has changed the article word count by 500 words. Writing articles is not easy. Even if you rewrite them using software, the uniqueness is not good.

It is really time consuming to write a new article, so I sometimes copy the content on my website and post on article submission websites, will my site get risk? As my website is quite new to search engine so I am afraid that google will consider the content on the article submission websites that I post to as original content and the content on my website is duplicated? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
