Green Tea And Red Bean Cake
One of my favourite green tea foods from London is the green tea and adzuki (red bean) cake from the Japan Centre supermarket in Piccadilly, which they have recently started selling. The sponge has a mild green tea flavour and a very light texture (it is probably steamed) and red bean paste is rolled into the sponge so it is a bit like a green tea red bean swiss roll. The red bean paste is not too sweet (as it can be in some japanese cakes/sweets) but has a buttery sweet taste which complements the sponge well. So if you are in the area I would highly recommend trying it!
