Santa At The Snow Centre

Posted on November 25th, 2010 in Places To Visit by Stephanie

If you’re looking forward to a white Christmas you don’t have to wait much longer, just hop on a train at London Euston station and in around 30 minutes you can be at the Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead. The Snow Centre has real snow slopes all year round so you can go skiing or snowboarding any time!

From December 11th until the 23rd, children aged 4-11 have the opportunity to receive a present from Santa in his cabin on the snow and then enjoy a session on the Rubber Ringo where they can slide, glide and spin down a snow slope for only £9. Children aged under 4 unfortunately aren’t allowed in the Ringos but they can still visit Santa in the snow for £6.50. This year all proceeds of Santa’s Cabin will be donated to the Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamsted.

For more information on Santa’s Cabin or the Snow Centre you can visit their website www.thesnowcentre.com or call 0845 258 9000.

Santa’s Cabin opening times are as follows:

Saturday and Sunday 11th and 12th Dec 11.30 – 19:00
Monday – Wednesday 13th – 15th Dec 16:00 – 18:15
Thursday and Friday 16th to 17th Dec 13:00 – 17:00

As a child I looked forward to seeing Santa Clause. In hindsight it seems really creepy for a child to go sit on a strange mans lap.

Really? that’s so exciting! Well, that’s a good idea. Children will surely love to there to see Santa and receive gifts from him. Honestly, I was already 18 when I stopped believing that Santa exist and until now I’m always delighted to see someone who dressed up like Santa. But I hope we won’t forget the real meaning of Christmas. It’s not about Santa or the gifts you receive. It’s about Jesus.

Can’t believe I just found your blog, Stephanie. I’d been looking for something to do around London. Coming from Canada, I was starting to miss much of the snow fun. This winter hasn’t disappointed so far, though. Will definitely give it a look.

Oh my gosh that looked like so much fun. I don’t think I can ever stop believing in Santa. Those mornings when you come down stairs and all your gifts are all laid out. It began as a holiday to celebrate the birth of a profit but to me it is about the time I get to spend with family. Cheers!
