Save Money Sightseeing In London With The London Pass

Posted on July 10th, 2008 in Cheap Days Out In London, Money Saving Tips by Stephanie

If you are planning on visiting London, a great way to see all the main tourist attractions cheaply is to buy the London Pass.  It is a sightseeing card which gives holders free entry to 55 different sights and tourist attractions in London including The Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Royal Albert Hall, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Windsor Castle, National Portrait Gallery, London Zoo, The London Aquarium and Shakespeare’s Globe - to name but a few.  You can even hop on a boat and go on a relaxing river cruise!

You can get 1 day, 2 day, 3 day and 6 day passes and it allows you to enter as many of the 55 attractions included on the pass as you want.  It is a great way to see London at a small price and is ideal for visitors and even Londoners!  For more information and to purchase the London Pass online, you can visit the London Pass website.

That is a lot of attractions to be able to see! I just went to their site and they have some of the major tourist places to visit as well as a few I’ve never heard of. I just can’t believe it’s that affordable. Now all I need is a plane ticket over there! Thanks for sharing.

I will definitely check out this pass deal the next time I’m in London. I was not aware of it when I was in London 3 years ago.

The London Pass is great. My fiance is from Colchester and he took me home for New Years. We were able to see so much stuff on a budget! We ran out of time but will most definatly get another one when we go back in August!

Thanks for the sightseeing tip. As an American travelling to Europe is expensive considering how bad the dollar is doing vs. the pound and the euro.

This is quite cool. Last year, I got the train ticket that you can use throughout whole Europe. It was damn cheap and I had great time. Was in London too, but didn’t know for this opportunity :)

The London Pass is a good way of getting around london cheaply… one of my recommendations if you are going to London is to also go on the London Eye. It is great and gives an amazing view over London.

Thanks for the tip. London Pass is great value. Here’s another free thing to do in London: In summer, pull up a pew on the South Bank (www.southbanklondon.com) and, before long, street theatre will start happening all around you.

Thanks for the link not heard of a London Pass before, last time we went to London it ended up being very expensive to visit the tourist attractions, so any saving is welcome. Do you have any similar tips for accommodation booking in London , family friendly accommodation preferably?

I wish they had that here in Toronto, it would go over really well with local and tourists. Problem is, you would have to sell your first born for something like that here. Good to see that Tourism is taken more seriously in the UK.

Late in beginning of this year, i was in Sydney and we had such pass. They used to ffer full day traveling for merely AU$20 something.. Which was awesome. I’ll be in hertfordshire in March 2009 and will try this out :)
