Toptable
I have just made a dinner reservation for next week through Toptable and thought that I should write a post to let you all know how to save money eating out in London by using Toptable. Toptable is a website that allows you to make reservations at hundreds of different restaurants around London as well as the rest of the UK and some other countries. It always has 2 for 1, 50% off the bill and plenty of other offers available for different restaurants so you could potentially save a lot of money eating out! I visited a malaysian restaurant called Awana recently and saved around £30 on a meal for 2 using their 50% off offer!
Also, every time you make a booking through toptable you are awarded 200 points if you rate the restaurant (nothing too time consuming, just giving a mark out of 10 for food, service, ambience, etc.) after dining there. Once you have collected 1400 points you can get a free 2 or 3 course meal at certain restaurants! You also get 200 points for registering with them so you only really have to dine out 6 times and then you will have enough for a free meal. You can also collect more points to get free meals in better restaurants. Toptable sometimes have double points months where you can get 400 points per booking and if you organise a lot of big group dinners you can get around 600 - 1400 points depending on the group size and even complimentary dinners for 2.
So if you eat out a lot I would really recommend booking through them especially if you are a regular diner at some of the restaurants on Toptable as you will be able to collect points as well as save money if there is an offer. It’s also a really good way of discovering new restaurants and trying out different types of food. So top marks to Toptable!!

Great tip, this sounds like a terrific idea.
Hi Stephanie
I just came across this lovely review you wrote about toptable, thank you very much for the positive feedback. Please can you get in touch with me when you have a spare moment?
Thanks!
Tess
This sounds great. I will have to see if there is something like that nearer to me. Probably isn’t since reservations are less common here.
Thanks for the tip. I live in London and they sure love to overcharge me, whenever I go out.
